So now I don't have the car BUT since they needlessly ran my credit, my score has gone down 10 points for no reason, so I'm the one who suffers to get another car. That evening, I received an email saying, "As it turns out the Soul was sold to another customer and we refunded your deposit of $500." WTF?! That is the entire point of a deposit was to ensure this didn't happen! No explanation, apology, or restitution. He asked for a $500 deposit to hold the car and take it off the market, as the vehicle would not be ready until the following day because it needed shock/strut service. Spoke to Anthony, I filled out the credit app and was approved (he ran my credit which was 811 FICO), I have my own financing at a better rate than what the dealership can offer.
